Our Mission and Goals Angling For Charity was created to use our form of recreation to provide benefit to others in need or less fortunate. Angling For Charity’s goals are three fold; to raise money for our designated charities, to share our sport with those otherwise unable to do so, and to share our catch with a local foodbank.

Our Methods
Each year, Angling For Charity (AFC) will run a charity fishing trip. This website will allow AFC to more easily announce news and relevant needs related to an upcoming event. For now, AFC will seek to run one event per year, dedicating all available resources to the development and operation of that event. This website will also allow us to create and run several different campaigns, such as auctions, food drives, and raffles each related to the core event, the charity fishing trip.
AFC has picked the New Hampshire Foodbank and the Make A Wish foundation chapters from the states of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine to be the recipients of this years donations. This year's events will include an online auction of donated items and fishing trips, a food drive, a raffle, and the main event, the fishing trip on November 3rd, 2008. Of course, any and all donations over and above are welcome.

Our History
AFC originated from a 2007 Noreast.com sponsored charter fishing trip. It was the idea of the original chartermaster, Mike 'Obtuseangler' Dubroff, and Captain Phil Eastman to hold a fishing charter where all the fish caught on the charter be given to the NH Foodbank and so the Foodbank charter trip was born. Many thanks also must be given to Marc 'Fishark' Schloss for his enthusiasm, and to Captain Domenic Petrarca, for his vision of what this charter could be, and for taking the steps that would lead to the formation of this year’s trip, and the birth of Angling For Charity. Overall, Captain Phil Eastman should also be recognized for the ongoing generous donation of a fishing vessel on which to hold this trip. Contact information for us and our charities can be found on the contact information page. Links can also be found on the left for information about our recipients, the trip, the auction, the food drive, the raffle, and our contributors. Thank you for visiting!
